‘Nicoleas Maes: Dutch Master of the Golden Age’
22 February 2020 - 31 March 2020
Nicoleas Maes’ works portray 17th century Dutch domestic life in a manner that allows you to go behind the scenes, so to speak, of the hustle and bustle of a functioning home. Having begun painting biblical and historical scenes, Maes ultimately focused on day-to-day life becoming one of the most well-known Dutch artists. More than 50 paintings by Maes will be included in ‘Dutch Master of the Golden Age’ and will follow his journey as an artist.
